I have arthritis, disc disease, a curved spine, sciatica and fibromyalgia... (I know, its a mouthful!) I have sleep problems and when my back flares up it makes my life miserable. The first time couple times I tried this, I wasn't too impressed. Well this week has been miserable, even with the medication that I have been prescribed that usually works. When I first laid on it last night I left my shirt on and something about it was different this time. After a minute or so I lifted my shirt on my lower back and it was definitely painful until it wasn't.
This is my second purchase. I liked the first one so much I bought another one for my husband. I use it to help me fall asleep and recently I've used it to relieve pain from sciatica. I'm able to put it on bare skin when lying in bed or sitting on a recliner. I read the reviews before my first purchase, so I knew it would feel very odd the first time I used it. If you have very sensitive skin you might try using it while wearing a thin t-shirt. I recommend it highly.
I have to say I was very skeptical, when I purchased this. However, due to the price and a friends recommendation I bought it. WOW, I cant believe how good I feel. I suffer from Sciatica and have a lot of muscle tension, plus Arthritis and tendentious due to my age and Career. This crazy little mat gave me so much relief, in only 3 uses. Now it is not super comfortable, and takes some time to get use to, but it works. When I lay on the floor over this mat, I can feel my muscles burn and release. I actually can relax now and meditate well on it. The knots in my shoulders gone, neck tension gone, sciatic pain gone. PS: I also have fibromyalgia, this can be painful, but so worth it for other reliefs, over time the painful picks become routine.
Currently using this mat for the first time. It's a game changer. I have chronic back pain from years of riding horses, and an accident the broke my back. I also suffer from bad sciatica. Yes. The first few minutes hurt. But if you suffer from the back kind of back pain that can make functioning hard, then this is nothing. After the first few minutes your back gets warm, and your can feel a gentle pulsating sensation. It is incredibly relaxing, my pain is better and the muscles looser. I am using mine laying down on top of a firm memory foam mattress, With the mat on my back, pillow under my neck, bare skin. First time using I have been on it for 42 min, plan to go to about an hour. So far I am super impressed.
I never take time to write reviews, but I came back to purchase another one of these and felt like I needed to. It takes a little while to get used to. Trust the process. The burning sensation after you get off of it goes away quickly. I'm quite addicted to the "pain" because it helps with those arthritis type pains and sciatica. My husband can't handle it though. He thinks I'm weird, but after getting used to it, it's heavenly! I've used mine well over a year now.
This has worked wonders on me to help me relax and get my blood pressure down as well as helped with my sciatic nerve pain. I highly recommend this one with the pillow because it gets the neck and that's good for when I have headaches. I lay down on this for a few mins a day and especially when stressed. Very good oxytocin releaser, the endorphins are flowing with this thing! It takes some getting used to for some, I didn't have any problems liked it right away. I'm using this in place of accupuncture as I don't always have time for an appt for that to be done. Great price!
I've had this about 2 weeks now. I can honestly say it does help me. I was diagnosed with L3, L4, L5 and herniated disc on my lower back. This mat and pillow combo has helped with pain levels. I wasn't using it every day until about 4 days ago, I've been constant with it and have seen it do work on my lower back. The sciatica pain I have is still their, but when I use the mat it goes away instantly. The trick is to stick with it and use it every day if you have to. Do not waiver from it.
This thing helped my sciatica significantly. What an impressive device. I have nicknamed it Mr. Stabby. If you can stand the initial shock of laying on it, it is weird. First the stabbing sensation, then it gets warm and followed up by a throbbing feeling as if receiving a massage. I try to talk my wife into it, but its a no go🤣
A friend referred me to this mat and I am SO glad they did! I have fibromyalgia as well as degenerative disc disease where all my discs in my lower back are herniated and cause me extreme pain in my lower back and down my sciatica on both sides. I've been through every kind of treatment there is and I must say this has brought me an unbelievable amount of pain relief. Yes it hurts when you first lie on it without clothes on but that pain subsides quickly and after even a short 5 mins of laying on it, when I get up my pain is almost completely gone! Would highly recommend this mat!!!
I am a 74 yr old female. I have collected age related aches and pains mainly in my back over the years. This gets rid of them after about a 20-30 minute session. They come back eventually. However now I get relief..especially helps my sciatica in my lower back and left leg. It took me three short sessions to get through the sharpness. I usually am bare of clothing on my back to lay on it. I very rarely review products until I know they work. I will return products if they they do not provide what the ad promises.
